June Leftovers

Because I was such a bad blogger in June, I didn't get any of these cute pictures posted. So, I thought I would just throw them all into one big post and be done with it...

I had left a box of cereal too close to the edge of the kitchen counter and Kase got his little monkey hands on it. I walked into the living room and found Kase just going to town on the cereal.

Kyle soon joined in too.

Jason and I took a nice vacation to Cancun for a college friend's wedding. We had a great time and it was so weird/awesome to not be responsible for anyone but ourselves.

Our parents went to Cancun and brought us back these lousy t-shirts...

But, luckily our Aunt Enny brought back these cool guitars.

Oh, and they brought back a couple of these cool Mexican wrestler masks!

We had a little too much fun picking out which masks to bring home to the boys.

During the weeks that I was trying to pack up and clean the old house, the boys would get pretty stir crazy while being stuck in the house. So one day I pulled them around the house using a laundry basket and one of Jason's belt. They loved it.

I posted an ad on Craig's List for our couch and the good ole' big red chair. Before the buyer came to pick it up, I sat in it with the boys one last time. The three of us had spent so many hours in that chair while they nursed. There were days early on when I wondered if my butt had become permanently attached to that chair.

We also said good bye to our good ole' dog, Lola. Since the boys were born, we had not been giving Lola enough attention. And she liked to dig and chew on things so we knew we didn't want to take her to the new house and take the chance of her tearing up our new back yard.

I put an ad on Craig's List for Lola also, and a nice couple with an 8 week old son and a one year old Lab mix contacted me about her. They were looking for another dog to keep their dog, Abby, company. They brought Abby over to meet Lola and then came again for another visit to make sure that they would all get along. Once they told me that they were going to take Lola, I warned them that I was going to cry. And the next day when they came to pick her up, I bawled my eyes out.

Lola's new family has sent me a couple email updates and she is doing great. Lola has been loving playing fetch with Abby and returning first with a proud look on her face. They also like playing tug of war with each other. I know it was the right move for Lola and I'm glad I was able to find such a great new family for her.

The Saturday that she left, we were busy doing yard work and getting ready for our move, but I'm so glad that we have this family picture to remember her by. The boys and I are going to make plans soon to go visit Lola and her new family as soon as the weather cools down a bit.

And this one is just too cute for words... once Lola was gone the boys got to enjoy the old back yard for a few days before we moved. I served their breakfast outside just about every morning.

Playdate with Mase

Cari and Mase came over for a visit this morning. Mase and the boys take naps at completely differnt times in the mornings so they didn't get to stay long, but we had fun while they were here. Kyle and Kase kept pointing at Mase and saying "baby." At one point Kyle was crawling on the ground next to Mase.

I see many more playdates with Mase in our future. Maybe one day the kids will all entertain themselves and Cari and I will get a chance to actually visit... maybe one day!

Opposite Day

Tonight at dinner Kyle refused to sit in his high chair. He does that... that is Kyle! So he sat at the table like a big boy. And then Kase started crawling up into a chair. So I let them both eat like this, just sitting in a chair. Such big boys!

Then as my Mom and I were putting the boys to bed, Kyle wanted to get into Kase's bed. And he does that sometimes too. He usually gets in there and giggles and plays.

Tonight he would hand me his blanket, lay down and want me to cover him up. I tried to put his baby in his crib to get him to want to get in his crib, but it didn't work. I wasn't sure what to do. So I tried putting Kase in Kyle's crib and he went with it. They both fell asleep fine. I snuck in about an hour after they went to bed and snapped these pictures. I was cracking up at their sleeping positions!

This is just an extra picture from today. Kase "mowed" the living room while wearing this hat for like 10 minutes. My Mom said he was doing it again in the afternoon. These kids just crack me up!

Favorite Things About The New House...

Their playroom! I LOVE that our living room doesn't look like a day care any more. The boys usually have free reign over most of the house (the office, bathroom, and our room are off limits). But when I need to take a shower or something, I can put the gate at the end of the hallway, and they can still venture between the playroom and their room.

The playroom goes from somewhat picked up to disaster area in a matter of minutes, but at least its not in the living room!

There is a super cute window seat that Kase loves to hang out in. Harper came over to check out our new digs.

The bathtub! There is tons of room. I wish I could say that means no more fighting, but that is not always the case. I think it is funny that in this picute they are sitting right next to eachother even though there is another half a tub available!

The backyard! Our fence took WAY longer to get in that we thought it would, but it is up now! No more chasing kids down the street... in different directions!

Our new house has just been great for us. And I'll try and get together a post of each room, but that means each room would have to be clean and fully unpacked. And that may take a while.

Still Here and All Moved In!

We are still here! I've been MIA for a while because we have been busy moving. Yes, our house was finally finished (at least enough to move into)! We closed on Friday, June 25 and Jason, my Dad, and his Dad had everything out of our old house by noon on Saturday. Our renter wanted to move in on Tuesday, so Jason, my parents and I spent Sunday cleaning and doing repairs. Thank goodness we had Jason's Mom and Lala to help watch the boys for us. The Pitts even came over and occupied the boys Monday morning while I was out and Jason was working with the Direct TV guy.

We have been at the new house for about a week and a half now and it really feels like home. I just love it! We still have lots of work to do, but it is coming along.

Because of the rain last week, our yard and fence are being put in this week. I can't wait to let the boys play in the back yard.

I don't have any pictures yet so I will leave you with these two of Kase in the back yard of the old house. He is quite the phone talker!
