Magic Tricks

Kyle and Kase have some tricks they want to show you.

First up is Kase and his disappearing pea trick. He (not so) secretively puts several peas down the front if his shirt one by one. Ohhhh, ahhhh! AMAZING!

Next is Kyle and his "must get every last taste of my lasagna" trick. He's not sleeping ladies and gentleman... he is licking his plate! Just mesmerizing!

I think they may take this show on the road soon. Check your local paper for a stop in a town near you!

Mr. Fix Its

Several weeks ago my Dad came over to make some adjustments to the garage door opener because it had been acting crazy. Of course Kyle and Kase had to see what was going on and decided to offer their "help."

Is It Bad...

...that instead of helping Kyle realize that he can't fit his water cup through the slats in the chair, I laughed and ran to get the camera?

Time For Another House Update...

The brick and stone work is almost finished. Drywall is up, taped, and textured inside. The bathtubs and shower are in. We have a garage door and a back door (the kind with the blinds inside the panes of glass... kinda excited about that!).

We have picked out vanities, glass for the shower door, carpet, tile, granite for the counter tops, back splash tile, and the front door. And it has been exhausting! But we know we will love every little detail about our new house.

A view from the living room to the kitchen.

And coming in from the garage to the living room.

A shot of the back side of the house. I have to say that Jason wanted this exterior paint color and I wanted a different one. I let him win that one and I'm glad I did. It looks awesome.

These next pictures are from a few weeks ago, but I never got them posted. We took the boys over to see the house again and this time they were both awake!

Everything is still on schedule, so it should be finished around the end of May. We can't wait!

Easter Egg Hunts #2 and #3

After church on Easter Sunday we headed to my parent's house for Easter dinner. An obscene amount of wine, cheese, ham, potatoes, green beans, corn casserole, yummy chocolate desserts, and pretty little cookies were consumed by all... including Kyle and Kase. Although they kept their portion sizes more in check than the rest of us.

After lunch and a couple of naps, the boys got to hunt Easter eggs again. This time outside because the weather had cleared up. Once the boys discovered that there were animal crackers and cookies inside the eggs, the hunting slowed and the snacking escalated.

Aunt Megan tried to help Kyle along, but that cookie was just too yummy!

Kyle: "You go pick up that egg. I'm eating!".

The Easter Bunny left some gifts at Gibi and Mister's house too. They got their very first set of golf clubs, some race cars, a Veggie Tales movie, and a book of Bedtime Bible stories. Kase got distracted by his new favorite sport and gave up hunting eggs.

How cute will this picture be 20 years from now when he is on the PGA tour?

And then they found the race cars.

My attempt at a perfect Easter picture of the boys in their Easter outfits, with their Easter baskets, surrounded by Easter eggs. Yeah, not so much!

It works better to strap them down and do a little dance behind the camera to make them smile.

And then it was time for the "Real Egg Hunt." It is a tradition for all of the "kids" to have an Easter egg hunt. The eggs have candy in them, but a select few also have cash! And then there are the eggs with random items... like meatballs, sticker pictures of my sisters and I from junior high, or like this year, a head to a little doll. Don't ask... it just happens!

Everyone lines up on the edge of the porch and someone yells "GO!" It is pretty competitive!

Another great Easter! I can't wait for next year!

Easter Egg Hunt #1

We made it to church (late) and dropped off the boys in the nursery. They brought their Eater baskets for the egg hunt at church, and they also got to bring their Slinky's with them. I heard they were quite the hit with the other kids in the nursery.

We waited around after church for the eggs to be hid. It was misting outside so the eggs were hid in the fellowship hall.

Finally the hunt was on...

Kase bent down to pick up a group of eggs, but got distracted by pushing around a chair instead of picking up any more eggs.

Kyle was a maniac! He got tons of eggs (with a little help from a very competitive Dad!)

Uh, who looks more excited here?!

After all the eggs were found, everyone dumped out the candy to check out what they had found.

Lexi found a prize egg and got to exchange it for this huge ball. She told me that she had seen it as soon as she walked in and decided that she wanted it then! She was nice enough to let Kyle play with it also.

This picture was so much cuter in my head! Maybe we can take a nice group photo when the boys are 10 or so. Right now they don't sit still long enough.
