4 Months Old

Kyle
14 lbs. 1 oz.

In the four months that I have been taking these photos neither boy has ever noticed the stuffed rabbit that we sit beside them. We could not get Kyle to take his eyes off of it this time, so this is the best shot I got!

Kase
14 lbs. 1 1/2 oz.

This always happens... the very first shot was the best!

This one cracks me up! That Kase! My mom said it looks like they want Harper to sit in the middle of them!

We go to the doctor on Thursday for their 4 month check up. We will get official weights and lengths then. And more shots too, but I don't want to think about that.

Random Pictures From a Random Week

And that week would be week 17. Random, huh?

The boys play in their Bumbo chairs now. I try to get them in there at least once a day. I have irrational fears about them getting flat heads from laying on their backs too much and having to wear those helmets. They make little trays that fit on to the Bumbo. I think I need to go get a couple to set their toys on.

A Kase face.

I though this was too cute.

"Whatcha reading?"

This past weekend Jason went to Houston for a craw fish boil at Joe's, Jenny's boyfriend, house so the boys and I stayed at my parents house. They had been storing the huge box that this toy came in. The boys asked their Mister if he would put it together for them. He did and they have enjoyed playing in it.
Kase still in his church clothes

And also over the weekend Kase showed his Mister his new trick. He was chewing (as always) on a teething ring and somehow flipped it up on his nose and it hung there.

That crazy Kase

I can hear it now...

"He's on my side."
"He's thouching me."

No A/C means....

Naked Babies!

I woke up last night at 2:30 sweating. I got up to turn the air down and nothing happened. So an hour later when the boys woke up to eat I took off their t-shirts and swaddled them in just their diapers so that they wouldn't get too hot.

It wasn't all that hot today, but it has been raining on and off so it is really humid. So I decided that today was a diaper only kind of day. The boys didn't seem to mind at all!

And the A/C is supposed to be fixed this afternoon.

"Dude, you look ridiculous in that hat."

Big Enough To...

...jump in the Jumperoo.

Kyle hung out in the jumperoo for almost 45 minutes the other morning. That is like 4 hours in baby time. Kase likes it too, but tires more quickly. I need to get the other one out of the box so that they can jump together.

...play outside.

Sunday morning we had a hour to kill before it was time to eat again. Which means I had to find a way to keep two babies occupied and their minds' off their next meal. I put a blanket down in the front yard in the shade and brought out some toys to play with. Both boys really like being outside and the change of scenery. Kyle loves looking at the leaves on the trees when they blow in the wind.

...snuggle with a lovey.

Everything is going to the mouth these days. And the lovey is no exception. Both boys will pull it up to their face and chew on it. They also like to play peek a boo with them. Its so sweet.

...sit in the Bumbo chair.

And read books too! Kyle can last longer in the Bumbo than Kase, but they both like sitting in them. You just have to catch them in the right mood. Both boys love to be held and when they are in a "hold me" mood there is no other acceptable alternative. I wish I could hold them both all day every day. I just love my sweet cuddly babies!

Kyle and Kase Hate Breast Cancer

Last Saturday was the Central Texas Race for the Cure. I've been excited about participating with the boys since the first time we took a stroll in the jogging stroller. I even ordered pink onesies for the boys that say "Real Men Wear Pink" when they were only a few weeks old in anticipation for the event.

So when the weathermen predicted rain I was disappointed, but hopeful that they would be wrong. They were pretty right on with the forecast, but luckily the rain held off just long enough to finish the 5K trek. It rained on the drive to the start line, dried up during the race, and then poured on the drive home.

Kyle and Kase excited about the race.
Harper is ready to run.
Not just anyone can pull off a pink onesie!
Harper was all tuckered out after the race.

All a little wet, but happy to support the cause.

I Love Looking Down At This...

After the boys ate this morning at 8:00 they both fell back to sleep on the pillow. They looked so peaceful that I just sat there watching them until they woke up.

I wanted a picture of them, but the camera was across the room. Luckily the camcorder was sitting on the table next to the chair. You can check out the handy dandy big blue nursing pillow. Nursing two babies at the same time would be impossible without it.

100th Post

This is my 100th post. I should come up with something clever to write about, but really I just have some cute random pictures from the past week.

A very happy Kyle! We probably just finished eating.

Kase and Dad hanging out in the Man Cave (the garage). I love how packages of diapers have taken over the poker table in the back ground! That pretty much sums it all up these days!
Aunt Enny comes over and helps out on her days off. She's a workin' woman now!

A cute one of Kase. The boys like us to walk around with them instead of sitting when they are fussy. I think Jason must have been taking a break and leaning on the back of the chair. Tricked him!
Mister and Kyle. Look at the difference in the size of their hands!

Kyle kicking butt at holding his head up. He is one strong baby!

Kase looks so grown up in his collared shirt. This must have been before he gave up on tummy time and buried his head in the boppy pillow.

NAKED BABIES!!!!!!
Mom, please dress us already. This is embarrassing!

Madagascar was on TV the other night and I recorded it... for the boys of course! Kase watched it for a little bit with me this morning.

New Things

The boys are getting so big and new things are happening everyday. Its a fun time at the Coats house.

Last weekend was the boy's first weekend out of town. We went to Fredricksburg for my friend, Deborah's, wedding. My parents went also and helped out a ton. The wedding was beautiful and the weekend was a lot of fun. They boys did great. They slept they entire drive there and back (three hours).

Another new thing that both boys have started... chewing on their fists. I think its so cute! And the good thing is they can never drop them!

A few weeks ago Jason asked if the boys were big enough to wear any of the Texas A&M garb that they received. Back then the answer was no, but a few days ago I mentioned to him that they might be able to fit into something now. I went into work on Tuesday to close the month and Jason stayed home with the boys. I wasn't too surprised when I got a text message with pictures of the boys wearing these outfits. Pretty stinkin' cute no matter what team you cheer for!

And my favorite new thing... They finally started noticing each other. They will see each other and smile. I love it! Soon they will be able to play with each other.

I've changed their schedule this week. The last feeding used to be at 8:30 and they would go to sleep right after, but getting to 8:30 was getting difficult. They would both be really crabby and you could tell that they were just sleepy. And sometimes it was hard to keep them awake long enough to eat. So I moved up the last feeding of the day to 8:00. It has seemed to help. Now we go three hours between each feeding. The new schedule is 5:00 am, 8:00 am, 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, 5:00 pm, and 8:00 pm. Kyle still does not want to sleep through the night. So he usually eats around 3:30 am also. And every once in a while Kase will join him.

3 Months Old

A quarter of a year? How did this happen?

Kyle
12 lbs.
Kase
12 lbs. 1 oz.

**Note** Weights are approximate due to excessive wiggling.

We celebrated with birthday cake. Well, Kyle and Kase slept. It was past their bed time.
