25 Weeks

From babycenter.com...

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Jason and I went to another appointment yesterday afternoon. We didn't get to see the boys on an ultrasound (first time ever - we've been spoiled), but we heard their heartbeats on the Doppler. They were 148 and 155, but I can't remember who had what. I'm sure it's not the last time I will mix up something between them!

My blood pressure was good, and I took the glucose tolerance test. I had to drink this super sweet orange drink and then give a blood sample after waiting an hour. Another blood sample given with out passing out! YES! I'm guessing they will call with results. Probably a no news is good news kind of thing. He also checked to see if I was dilated. I'm not... very good thing at this point.

I am now to the point where Dr. Moore wants to see me every two weeks. And at our next appointment on October 15, we get another big ultrasound where they will measure each baby again and make sure they are still growing at the same rate. They will also start measuring my cervix with the ultrasound to watch for thinning. Babycenter.com says the boys weigh about a pound and a half this week (they measured one pound at 20 1/2 weeks), and their weights will be measured again at the next appointment. I am interested to see how ahead of the game they will be by then.

We asked a few questions about the delivery and Dr. Moore told us that he wants to wait until as close to 38 weeks as possible. White baby boys are the worst breathers so we want to give them as much times as possible to develop their lungs. 38 weeks is New Year's Day so we are looking at sometime between Christmas and New Year's. That is just 100 days away! Crazy!

And I gained another 11 pounds, bringing my grand total to 31 pounds. Out of control! I still have three months to go! Ah, what's a girl to do? Please don't answer that!

And now the picture...
